R.I.P Matthew Harding

Today is the 16th anniversary of the death of Chelsea Vice Chairman who died on the 22nd October 1966. Matthew Harding was a lifelong chelsea fan investing in the blues in 1994 who had the vision to invest in players and create a team like the heroes of his youth. However he was met with clashes with Ken Bates the Chairman who did not want to invest in players but in a new stadium. This resulted in Harding being banned from the boardroom. Harding was a friend of the supporters wearing chelsea shirts and drinking with supporters in the pub. Chelsea fans got behind Harding becoming 'Harding's Blue and White Army'. This support got the ban lifted and he was allowed back in the boardroom. Then tragically after and FA cup clash with Bolton on his way back his helicopter crashed killing Harding and others on board. To commemorate him A minutes silence was conducted in the next match and a stand was named after him at the Bridge. He was only involved with CFC for three years but the impression he made on chelsea fans will always be remembered. Matthew Harding will always be remembered for what he was a supporter first and foremost, he was one of us.

JT set to lead Blues out in Shakhtar

So RDM has said that JT will not be omitted from the Chelsea games that he is not banned from and is looking likely to lead out the blues in our Champions League clash with Shakhtar on Tuesday. This is good news, I think we need to show the footballing world that we stand by our players and Terry was not racist to anyone, he was cleared by a criminal court which everyone seems to have forgotten. Another thing people seem to have forgotten is that he is one of the best centre backs the premier league as ever had and what has happened off the pitch should not affect him being able to play for us and be the Captain, Leader, Legend that he is.

Salomon on Roman

Ex blue Kalou has been talking about the influence Roman Abramovich has had on Chelsea. He talks about how Abramovich gave motivational talks and was not afraid to remind players who was in charge.
"That's the role of the owner - to remind everyone the only boss is him and we should be working for the best interests of the club  - not individuals"
As well as praising all the Abramovich as done for the club he mentioned his frustration at the rotation of managers and how he had to keep starting from scratch to impress and convince new managers that he was good enough to play in the first team. I think Kalou is right in what he says. People may criticise the transfer policy at the Bridge and the amount of money spent; they may criticise the firing and hiring of so many managers in a short space of time, which is frustrating for supporters as well as players but Abramovich as helped this club through its most successful period ever. Whatever his flaws are he has been the best thing to ever happen to Chelsea football club.

AVB Praises RDM

AVB praised the Blues after our 4-2 win at white heart lane. He was impressed with the brilliance of Oscar, Mata and Hazard and also said we were title contenders. He then went on to say "I signed Mata when I was at Chelsea and I am not surprised he is playing so well for another manager". Now is he trying to take credit that we are only do well because of him and his decision to sign Mata. It wouldn't surprise me as he tried to take credit for our Champions League win as well. But I suppose we really should thank him as the reason we won at white heart lane were through two players that he signed and one that he gave the opportunity to flourish at Chelsea. So thank you AVB for buying players that allowed us to beat you in the future.

There really is only Juan Mata

So I have been ill this week with tonsillitis, I know it sucks lol and what did I need to massively cheer me up but a great Chelsea win over Spurs. After an international break which really did not go great, I mean I know we beat San Marino 5-0 but come on they are the worst team in the world where none of their players are professional surely we should have scored more goals and the Poland match come on they all thought they were still asleep with the sleeping pills. The only Chelsea player who played in those games was Ashley Cole who was deffo England's best player in the Poland game even though he can still not find that 100th cap. Finally after 2 weeks the blues were back in action. Things were looking good before the match as thanks to Gareth Bale's baby deciding to come along he was missing it. The Blues dominated Spurs, a team who think they are actually better than they are and managed by the man who nearly ruined Chelsea, in the first half and went ahead after a fantastic goal by Gary Cahill a worthy stand in for John Terry, who does not get the credit he deserves. All was going well and I fully believed we could go on and thrash them but whatever AVB said at half time Spurred them on lol and they pulled back two goals with ex blue Gallas being one of them. But we have to thank Gallas because he played vital roles in letting us score a few of out goals. At 2-1 down I must admit I thought it was gonna be fate that AVB would be the first to end out unbeaten run but no I shouldn't have given up as Juan Mata scored two goals too put us back in the lead. At that point I think I made my tonsillitis worse by screaming so much. I am starting to develop a little crush on Mata, I know he's too small for me (me being 6ft) but he has really sparkled lately. Then too put an end to AVB and Spurs Sturirdge scored from a Mata. Trying to make sense of his non-celebration mean, is he not happy at the club or was it just as a sign of respect to AVB the man who allowed him to flourish at Chelsea. We'll have to see what happens in January but if Sturridge leaves I think we will be in trouble without any back up strikers to Torres. At the end of the match I was buzzing and the chorus of Champions Of Europe from the Chelsea fans gave me goosebumps. Once again Mata stole the show and sent out a clear message to the del Bosque about not being picked for the Spain squad. I can't understand how such an unbelievable player is left out but oh well it means he can be wrapped in cotton wool and continue to perform his magic for chelsea. There is really is only Juan Mata

Chelsea Through and Through

So I am sitting in bed bored and what do I decided to do but create a blog about my reason for living Chelsea FC. I have supported Chelsea my whole life and am the only person I know who does, blue was just in my blood. I feel there is not enough blogs etc. out there from a female Chelsea fans point of view so thats exactly what I have decided to make. This is my first post and I am gonna let you know a bit about me. I grew up just outside London and was always interested in football when I was little. My family supports lots of different clubs from Man U to Liverpool and Arsenal to Crystal Palace, but when it came to the time to decide who I supported I decided to go away from everyone else and support the blues. I was drawn to them straight away and 20 years later it was the best choice I ever made. Being the only one I know who supports the Chels I have never been to see them play and it is one of my dreams in life to go to Stamford Bridge and watch my heroes play. I hope that you now understand a bit about me and join me on this blog about the greatest football and club in the world oh and also THE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!!!
